Opening Your Beer Bottle with a Classic

It is a classic to find hand held bottle openers these days. They are most of the time made to be wall mounted because they get lost. In this day and age it is most of the time more convenient to drink from a can or plastic bottles for the soft drinks.

What is it made of?

Most of the time, hand held bottle openers are made of pure brass or steel. That is why it is heavy and last for a very long time. If you look at some stores or old bars, the openers that are wall mounted can still be there at the same time the bar opened two or three decades ago or even longer. It is the same with the hand held opener. If it does not get lost then they still probably have it.

Why is it the best option?

Hand held bottle openers are convenient to bring anywhere. It does not need the support of the wall to open a bottle of beer. It does not need electricity for it to operate. It just needs a strong wrist to jerk the bottle cap. It last a long time. It also does not rust fast. It can also be dishwasher safe and even just to wash it by hand will be okay. It does not break fast unlike the ones that are out in the market now with those plastic handles. It can have the design and fit in the bar where you use it or in the house where it will give some zest to your weekend get together. It is actually cheap and you know that the price will be good enough to pass it to three more generations after you. This will make it more precious than those modern style openers on the market. How to Make the Most of Your Beer Shank Kits

There is no doubt at all that all good things call for some kind of maintenance. Beer chugger pumps and beer shank kits are no exception. You have no choice but to ensure that they are always in good, working conditions.  But just how do you go about this? It’s easy. Read on to find out what it takes to maintain your beer shank kit well.

Storage

You won’t always use your beer shank kit unless you run a brewery at home. That means you will have to store the kit for sometimes until the next time you need it. Ensure the kit is in its proper box. Then store it in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. But before then, ensure the kit is clean and dry. Wash it as you normally do with the chugger pump, then use a dry cloth to wipe the kit. The worst thing you can do is to store your kit under direct sunlight while it is still wet. You can easily end up with a rusted kit or one that won’t serve you well.

Instruction manual

No kit ever comes without an instruction manual.  The manual should be your compass should the kit fail you when you least expect. Refer to it to know or rather find out what to do. Remember to follow the instructions on the manual to the last word.

Watch brands

This is simple. There are cheap beer shank kits, all over the market. They of course, promise nothing but value for your money. Don’t rush for such kits because cheap always turns out to be expensive in the long run. Your best bet is to buy kits from reputable brand. You may have to spend a lot on that brand known by everyone as long lasting. But that should not make you wince. You will after all, end up with a kit you can use for decades.
